For this week’s Mindset Monday, I want to cover something that can be the biggest boost to changing your mindset (and life).
It’s called using the Law of Attraction.
Wikipedia defines it like this:
The law of attraction is the name given to the maxim “like attracts like” which in New Thought philosophy is used to sum up the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and the belief that like energy attracts like energy.

I prefer to think of the Law of Attraction getting what you focus on.
So if you focus on the lack of money, the difficulty of paying bills and the fears about whether you can support yourself, then You will receive more of that in return.
The solution?
Simple, every time you find yourself focusing on what you don’t want, stop yourself and ask yourself “What do I want?”
The Secret of the Secret
The very popular book The Secret resonated with a lot of people who wanted to learn more about abundance.
The book’s main theme is Law of Attraction and takes the approach that instead of exhausting yourself chasing after the things you want, you can take actions that will make those good things come to you.
The result is a lot less stress and a great deal more success and satisfaction.
Let’s look at an example of how the Law of Attraction overcomes a Scarcity Mindset in a business context.
A lot of business people get caught up in the Scarcity Mindset that they don’t have enough customers, money, and profits.
They become so obsessed with this notion that they fail to appreciate what they actually have.
They get so caught up in this dogged pursuit for more they get stressed and neglect their health, which then starts to fail.
The stress can also make them say or do unskillful things which result in poor relationships in the workplace, and unhappy clients.
Both employees and clients will begin to look for a different businesses, once which will treat them better.
The Pareto Principle tells us that 20% of your customers are responsible for 80% of your profits.
The Law of Attraction in this case would therefore mean thinking about nurturing these relationships as much as possible to sustain them over the long term.
When you apply the Law of Attraction like this, your energy can be directed in a positive, purposeful way, with laser focus – not negative, aimless and anxious.
Building strong and positive relationships with your customers will bring success without having to stress over it.
Happy customers will speak well of you and will be pleased to introduce you to new prospects.
Gradually, your positive outlook will improve your reputation in the business community at large, attracting more customers, larger sales and bigger profits.
Now you are attracting goodwill and everything that goes with it, you will find more harmony and balance within your company, and within yourself as a entrepreneur.
To get the best from the law of attraction, recite a mantra.
This is a phrase you repeat over and over to yourself whenever you have a spare moment.
This should be a positive affirmation.
For example, a good one to use in business is: “I am very lucky. Money wealth and good-fortune flow to me in abundance.”
What repeating a mantra does, is drill down into your subconscious mind and help to change your mindset, so that supercomputer called your brain is “re-programmed” to get you want you want.
Try it. It works.
The author James Allen first identified this in his groundbreaking work “As a Man Thinketh” way back in 1903. He defined it like this:
Mind is the Master power that molds and makes,
James Allen
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills: —
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass:
Environment is but his looking-glass.
I use the Law of Attraction in my coaching business.
It is a powerful thinking tool for solo-professionals to use in their businesses as well.
By setting your intention at each step of the way, building your business becomes as easy and effortless as you can ever imagine.
